t's a very radical book, and I felt too much so for me to follow to the letter, because she didnt' have any conventional treatment. But her dietary tips and exercise as well as other advice was worth reading and much of it excellent (Gail) |

"Women
Confront Cancer"
Making Medical History by Choosing Alternative and Complementary Therapies Margaret J. Wooddell, David J. Hess |
I've been reading it during my lunch breaks and it's about the choices women make dealing with their cancer diagnosis. Most of the cases are breast cancer, and all of the women either chose alternative methods or complementary methods with conventional treatment. Included at the end of each case is each woman's assessment of the cancer organizations and support groups. It's fascinating. Doreen |

"Lick

Appleton, Ph.D.. ISBN 0-89529-695-0, Avery Publishing Group, Garden City Park, NY, 1996 |
She's got 28 pages (small-print) of pretty credible sources,
though a lot of info has come from newspaper articles and other people's
books - Among the books are Orion Truss's "The Missing Diagnosis," one
of the definitive books about candida which
virtually saved my life. So I think she's got a good book here, and guess what? It's only $5.95. Carole |

Herbs
Against Cancer : History and Controversy
by Ralph W. Moss |
It is very good. Well researched, interesting. Whereas I think in the beginning (not the beginning of the book but the beginning of his career), I think Moss had a tendency to go overboard in supporting anything "natural" and go against anything "unnatural" he now seems to have gained his ability to look at both pros and cons of various treatments. Excellent book. (Rasa Lila) |

David Bognar, David Bonar |
At first glance, I thought this book was too brief in its coverage. However, having read it, I think it does a good job of giving an overview of holistic approaches.
