Our photographs are
taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950 digital camera. Additional lenses used
are Nikon wide angle and a telephoto converters.We have two 32Mb
Compact Flash cards and get around 38 images at fine resolution
on each card before needing to download and reformat thereby allowing
us to reuse the card over and over again.
We use a Simple flash card reader and download the images to our PC, where
they are then cropped, resized and compressed using Paintshop Pro v 6.0.
Typically we use 20 - 25% compression on the JPEG files and resize the
images to that displayed to speed up the downloading time of the web pages.
This does downgrade the image considerably from the orginal high resolution
of 1.2 million pixels |
